Join Us for the Student Symposium for Watershed Innovation & Management (SSWIM)

We are thrilled to invite you and your students to participate in the Student Symposium for Watershed Innovation & Management (SSWIM). This event offers middle and high school students a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on environmental projects, explore solutions to watershed challenges, and learn about careers in natural resources.


SSWIM is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards by promoting creativity, innovation, and collaboration in addressing water-related issues. Through project-based learning, students will develop practical skills, gain valuable experience, and positively impact their communities.


  • Encourage Innovation: Inspire students to explore water-related issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Foster Collaboration: Promote teamwork between students, educators, and community partners.
  • Promote Stewardship: Instill a sense of environmental responsibility.
  • Career Introduction: Introduce students to new career paths in natural resources.

Seed Grant Opportunity

Participating teams can apply for seed grants to support their projects. These grants provide funding for project materials, equipment, and other expenses. For more information, please register for our online information session below.
